How do I connect a DAQCard 6024e to an er-8?

I have decided to ask this question here since NI support won't answer my question.

I want to connect an ER-8 to a DAQCard 6024E (PCMCIA). The cable I have is a
SHC68-68
and I have a 68M-50F adapter. Which port do I plug into on the ER-8? The
only
thing mentioned in the documentation is DIO-24 and DIO-32.
Also is the DAQCard6024E capable of providing power to the ER-8?

Please take a look at Figure 3-4: "ER-8/16 Configurations with Multifunction DAQ Devices" which is located in the ER-8/16 User Manual which is linked below. In this figure you will find that to cable an E-Series device, such as the DAQCard-6024E, to an ER-8 you will first cable the board to an SC-2050 which will then be cabled to the ER-8 module.

In this configuration your DAQCard-6024E will drive the ER-8 module.
