How to configure SCC-Ci20 moduke with SCC-68

Solved!
Go to solution

I am trying to measure an analog current signal using scc-ci20, scc-68, and pci-6221.

I have used scc-68 for measure voltage analog signal using the analog terminals, so both scc-68, and pci-6221 are well configured.

What I did:

I have added the scc-ci20 to "Measurement and automated explorer" under the scc-68, scc-mod 1

In the labview software in DAQ assistant, I added a new channel for measure current and the physical channels that appears were "aio, ai1" which is the channel for the Module 1 screw terminal and not the scc-ci20 terminal block.

Also, I connect the Al sense to Al GND.

I don't know, if the proble in the way I configure the current module or the way I connect the resistor to the terminal block and scc-68 port.

Hi Egptos,

The channels on the SCC-CI20 are grouped together in a differential measurement that is capable of completing two separate loops, thus the ai0 and ai1. ai0 is the grouping of channels 1 and 2 on the module, which complete one circuit, and ai1 represents channels 3 and 4 which complete a second loop. The shunt resistor that the module uses to take the current measurement is built into the module.
