How to convert analog input voltage to boolean or numerical.

Hi....im a student from malaysia....i have bought usb6008 DAQ and have create a test on input signal. I want to create a virtual panel that can display counter of input signal such as a display for parking vacancy with the input from detecting a car from sensor.(car-sensor-DAQ-PC LabVIEW front panel)

I want to know how to convert input voltage to boolean or something that can become such as LED turn on, it count 1 car in, and second time it on count for 2 cars in. Include herein an attachment of test of input voltage detecting. Could someone teach me how to make it happen...

Hi,

Wouldn't it be possible for you to just use a Counter Input from the USB-6008? This might make things easier. You would get the actual count directly instead of doing the analysis at the software. If this is not possible, maybe because of noise, the Digital Input would be the next plausible alternative. I don't think using the Analog Input is optimal at all.

Anyways, if you want to convert a number to its boolean equivalent, you could use the Number to Boolean Array function from the Boolean Subpallette.
