How to read hall effect sensor signals?

I am trying to read a 2 leg (A & B )signal from a hall effect sensor on a DC motor. How should I bring this signal into a DAQ board and what board should I use? What connector block?

Hello,

You have numerous options available to you.

First, National Instruments has Motion Controllers. Below is a link to the product page for these products:

Motion Control and Motor Drives

If you are interested in the Motion Controllers, I would suggest that you post a question to the Motion Discussion Forum linked below:

Motion Discussion Forum

Since you posted your question to the Multifunction DAQ Discussion Forum, you may be interested in controlling your motor with a DAQ device. Again, this area also provides many options. The M-Series boards have analog input, analog output, digital I/O, and counter channels. It appears that you would need a digital I/O channel to turn the motor on/off and an analog output channel to adjust the motor's speed. Below is a link to the M-Series product page:

Hope this helps!
