How to use a thermocouple type k with DAQ 6008?

I have DAQ 6008 and I am using thermocouple type k with reference LM35 connected to it as a compensation junction. The readings obtained by the labview are oscillating very much and after using the icon for converting the voltage to temperature from the thermocouple, the resulting temperature doesn't make sense...

What icons can I use to obtain correct readings?Do I need filters inside labview? And what gives me correct readings, differential or RSE connection?

halakh-

You need to check this field wiring guide for how to set up thermocouples:http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/3344

I think this will get you going 🙂

Hi! I am working on a similar project. I used a 25-point moving average to remove the temperature variations and it worked quite well. RSE Connection.
