I want to measure instantaneous angular speed using a quadrature encoder and a USB 6009.
Encoder have 360 pulses/Rev and measuring motor 1400 rpm.
I want to measure angular speed.
I have come across discussion threads on this question but no satisfactory answers. Request any possible assistance. Would appreciate an early reply..

Hey nghean193,
I found this VI in the community examples that I think would be helpful. It'll need a little tweaking but I think you can get it to work with your application. It has velocity and position and I beleive you would be able to get angular velocity from this:
https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-6834
Here is another document that goes over how to connect the encoder as well:

If you have seen these already let me know. If this does not help, could you please clarify what type of numbers you are getting and let me know what type of measurements you expect?
Thank you,
