I/O points in servo valve & Position sensor

I have to determine the Analog or Digital I/O points for :

1. Position Sensor, Model number:GPS0700MD601DE10, Tempasonic

2. Servo valve, G631-3006B, Moog servo- valve

Please see the data sheet attached.

Questions;

1. What are the I/O points Analog or Digital? How many channels?

2. What is the measurement method?

Please reply soon!

The position sensor to be used as per the model number given above, I need to use PWM. How can I measure the it with NI DAQ 6251 or 6259?

Hi there, look at the pictures attach. I think they are pretty straightforward. In the case of the two stage servovalves, the document says that the spool position is proportional to the input current so, If you want more control over the flow I would go analog with the G631 series device by creating a voltage task and simply outputting a DC value, adjusting the voltage levels at convenience.

For the position sensor, since it's linear, I would go analog as well and set a read voltage task with a custom scale. The channels are more than clear, one per coil on the G631 and one to read voltage from the sensor.

Good luck and don't forget to isolate the DAQ device!
