Is SC-2345 needed for SCC-RLY01 to connect to E-series?

I have six SCC-RLY01 relays, and I want to havethem controeled through my E-series (3036) board. Till I chose this relay i was told nothing of SC-2345. Now i see in the mannual that they talk about this SC-2345 as intrconnection. Now I don't see 6 slots for 6 relays, so is it necessary for me to have this SC-2345? Can't I handle these relays with just the PIN board, (68 pin board), can anyone help me out in that one....?

Boogdee,

Yes, the SC-2345 is required to use any of the SCC modules. Slots J9-J16 in the SC-2345 can be used with SCC-RLY01 modules. These slots are connected to the eight digital I/O lines on an E-Series device.
