Is it possible to output a voltage using the DAQ board?

Hi, I am using LabVIEW to build a cardiac monitor which will detect ventricular fibrillation for a BME project. If vfib is detected, I would like LabVIEW to output a voltage using the DAQ board, which will close a switch in another analog component of my project and begin a capacitive discharge which will cause "defibrillation" voltage shock. Do you know how to set the DAQ board to output a voltage, kind of as an alarm? THanks!

Whether you can set up your card to output a voltage will depend on which particular card you have. Assuming you have a card capable of AO, then setting the card to output a voltage level is easy. There are many examples on our website depending on the programming environment you are using.
