HI, i have a workstation in my lab with 2 DAQ card in it. i just got a new PC and would like to use LabVIEW and DAQ as well. Is there anyway the old PC share DAQ hardware with the new one? thanks

Hi Daniel,
There isn't any out of the box way to share the DAQ cards directly from one computer to another. There are ways to remotely run vi (vi server or remote front panels) and to serve up data to other PCs (TCP/Network streams/Shared Variables). You may want to investigate using these options if you cannot move the DAQ cards to your new computer.

haven't hear about VI server or Remote front panel. can you show me any info how to use that? and, will these require the local machine locked out, like using remote desktop access?
