Hello Austin

Thanks for response

Already discussed with Artisian , They only have 25 used cards in stock.

That's quite the number I think. According to your earlier estimate this buys you about 2 to 3 years in which you can look for alternatives. Also just because they only have 25 cards on stock at this time doesn't necessarily mean that they or other similar sites like Apex Waves and the NI trading post won't have more in a few months.

Even if they are used, if you can get a 3 month or similar guarantee that they work, you are many times better off than trying to design your own card!

Maybe this is some military or special use case and they can afford to redesign a card to keep something more expensive running for decades to come.

In short, if you can afford redesigning a card, sure, why not.

Majority of the folks here are consumers who can't afford more than the retail price of the card and hence suggesting wiser alternative to investing a hefty sum.

Hello Santhosh

Thanks for the response

Yes, I can afford design as well as paid support from NI I am just seeking a way to get the same.

Redesigning a card is not just doing a PCB design. That Lab-PC+ card has some PAL chips or similar on it, which will make it nearly impossible to make a register compatible board without a LOT of effort. Also several of the used chips are not produced anymore so you have to either source them from scrap sellers too, often with questionable quality, or you implement them yourself in more modern FPGA. All definitely possible but you just added several man months of extra work with several redesign cycles too. Then you may or may not be able to use NI-DAQ, if you managed to create a 100% clone. Legally you are operating in murky waters that way but NI likely won't sue you as long as you don't sell those boards to normal customers. Technically it would be easier to not even attempt to create a 100% clone but instead only a board that has the needed functionality. But then you have to write your own software drivers. That is still likely easier than trying to get a 100% compatible board but a major investment too.

So I'm not sure what your budget is but I really wonder why changing the computer hardware seems to be even more difficult than this.

Less there be any misunderstanding, the license does not permit you to use N-DAQ and NI-DAQmx with non-NI hardware. I suspect NI will be very unhappy f they learn you are building register compatible hardware to use NI-DAQ(mx), as others have discovered.

Keeping aside all wise logical recommendations, you can get NI to talk if you've enough leverage.

From your responses, I do feel like you have funds at your disposal to get NI to talk.

Important keywords to get a company to talk is to give them an overview of the quantity of the hardware you need and the forecast.
