LabView code generation failure

Hi!

I've just bought a NiDaq 6008, and I have the same problem:

"LabVIEW Code Generation failed to execute. This may occur if the code gen engine is not properly installed, or if you are using a LabVIEW version under development." 😞

If someone has an idea to solve this problem, please help me!

First thing that you should try to do is reinstalling DAQmx driver.

You can find it on www.ni.com/drivers

Kind regards,

Ion R.

It appears that LabView2011 can generate some trouble on systems with CPU without SSE2. If you have such machine, you can try LabView2010.

I did not try this solution yet, so I do not know if it helps.

Please chceck the following thread: http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/VI-Properties-dialog-is-slow/m-p/1882209

Hi again!!!

I solved mi problem ;). I bought my NIDAQ 6008 some days ago, it included a Dvd of NI-DAQmx 9.1.7 and a Dvd of LabVIEW 2011. It seems that them both were not compatible, since the icon of "DAQ Assist" didn't appeared (first, I had the problem in my previous post).
So I uninstalled everything related to National Instruments (LabVIEW 2009, 2010, 2011, NI-DAQmx) of my computer (Windows XP SP3) and reinstalled LabVIEW 2010, LabVIEW2011 and NI-DAQmx 9.1.7, and I still had the same problem.

BUT!!! When opening LabVIEW 2010, a blue window popped up automatically and it said that I could install something like patches or updates (I really don't know exactly what they are, patches I guess) for NI-DAQmx (in total it was about 600 MB), so I did it. And the problem has gone. My LabVIEW 2010 now works perfect with my NIDAQ and with all the modules.
If I wanted to work with LabVIEW 2011, I would have to update the latest version for NI-DAQmx (it's in this web). But, I feel comfortable working with version 2010. 🙂

In general, I guess the main problem is that the version of NI-DAQmx and LabVIEW aren't compatible in some cases.
I put LabVIEW 2010 and LabVIEW 2011 windows for you to see the comparation.

I hope it helps.
