Labview DAQ

Hi, I am doing a research project for a professor here at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. I am using an NI 9162, A strain gage system, and Labview. Our job is to calibrate it so that we get the correct numbers and units in pounds and inches. I have been taking measurements and recording both the actual and reading of volts. My problem is when I put as slope and intercept into the scale, my Min and Max values are entirely too small for what values I want to obtain. Eg. My max is 17.45861m when I need somewhere around a 1 to 2 inch reading. When I try to change the min and max values, I get error 20007 and cannot change it.

Hello,

Could you provide more information about your system? The 9162 is just a USB sleeve. What is the module that you are using in it to make those strain gage measurements? There are some good example programs in the NI Example Finder that will likely do exactly what you are attempting here. If you have a VI open you can go to Help>>Find Examples and then in the example finder if you browse to the folder path Hardware Input and Output>>DAQmx>>Analog Measurements>>Strain, there are a few good example programs, including one called Cont Acq Strain Samples (with Calibration) - NI 9237.vi.

I'm assuming you're using a module like the 9237, so this example should be right up your alley. Also, here is a knowledgebase article that talks about why you would be getting the error 20007.
