Log File Problem

Hi there

I am using Labview Signal Express 3.0 with a USB 6009 DAQ. I am connected two channels from the USB 6009 to record data from mechanical ventilators from the hospital. I am having the following problem. When I run the logging tutorial on Signal express...I can aquire a signal which creates a log file. However after I stop the record and try and view the log file in data view, there is no data available. Also, there is no file in the destination folder. I am currently not logged on as an administrator...could this be a problem?

Cheers

Ashwath

Which Logging tutorial are you using?  Either attach it to the discussion forum for us to look at OR give us the exact file path where we can find it on our machine.

Which edition of Signal Express 3.0 are you using - Full Edition (paid for) or Free LE version?  This is important because the recording options are not the same for each.  If you would like to know which version you have please go to Start >> All Programs>> National Instruments>> License Manager.  Verify under signal express which version of Signal Express you have activated.   (green Square, also verify license status in the right pane.

I don't believe it is because you are not logged in as an administrator

Are you in the Playback or Monitor./.Record tab when you try to import the log file into the Data View.  You should be able to see it in both. Can you try to record only one channel and see if you get a log file with data?

Try these steps and repost with an update

If you wouldn't mind creating a new discussion forum it would be greatly appreciated as this is a different issue. It will gain visibility and will be likely be answer much quicker. It also helps us keep track of individual problems.

Thank you
