M Series NI6221 counters - input levels

I' ve to measure the frequency of a signal with null mean value and 5Vpp amplitude, through the counter input.

Is it possible to make that without damage?

I think the digital inputs and the counters are protected by negative input levels.

Hi,

the dinamic range of counter input of NI 6221 is 0-5 V. Refer to specification page at https://www.ni.com/en-us/support/model.pci-6221.html.
