My thermpcouple reader (NI ENET-9163) is not being recognized by MAX

I have a thermocouple reader from NI (NI ENET-9163) which I am trying to get MAX to recognize, and it doesn't. It is hooked up to my laptop using a standard ethernet cable. I have restarted my computer couple of times already, and tried to manually add it by entering the IP address; but to no avail.

Could anyone please help? This is really urgent for my work. Thanks.

You may want to first make sure you have the latest DAQmx drivers.  Installing the newest DAQmx drivers will also install the newest version of MAX.  You can locate the newest DAQmx drivers by searching "DAQmx" at ni.com or visiting:

http://search.ni.com/nisearch/app/main/p/bot/no/ap/global/lang/en/pg/1/q/daqmx/
