Hi Morné,
Try Reset=false when initializing the DMM session. Does this fix your problem?
If you still need to reset the device, it is probably safe to use the NI-DMM Reset function.
I doubt uninstalling/reinstalling will fix your problem. It sounds like you are running into a known issue with the NI-DMM driver, and the DMM team is working on a fix for this (to be included in the next release).
Sorry to hear you ran into this difficulty.

Hi,
Thanks for all the help and advice.
I have tried the latest drivers, and also tried windows 2000 and windows xp. Everytime I get the exception error.
So, I tried the original drivers for the dmm (1.6) and it worked fine, but the moment I install the latest visa and NI Measurment and Autoamtion this error occurs. Unfortunately, I need the latest Visa to enable me to run the Agilent N4010a using visa passport.
Also tried the reset option as false, but it made no difference.
It surely seems like NI have a problem with the drivers. I am getting concerned now, as this is affection our production line now.
Would using a NI4070 help ?
Morne

A 4070 would most likely resolve your issue in this case. However, an Applications Engineer may be able to give you more specific advice in order to continue using your existing HW which may include providing the latest dirver updates. I would encourage you to contact an AE usign the following request page: http://www.ni.com/support/
