NI 435X with TC-2190

Using LabVIEW 7.1, installed NI-4351 which is connected to a TCI-2190.  Installed software for NI-4351 and VI Logger.  Now I am trying to using the DAQ Assistant to set up the TCI-2190, which I am using thermocouples on and can not get the DAQ Assistant to see the NI-4351 nor the TCI-2190.  Being new to LabVIEW I feel that I am doing something stupid and need some guidance to get this working.  So any assistance, guidance or just plain instruction would be greatley appreciated.

Hi Scamper,

Welcome to the NI discussion forums.  The NI-435x has its own driver and cannot be used with DAQ assistant (which is part of the NI-DAQmx driver).  To use the NI-435x in LabVIEW you will need to download and install the driver for the NI-435x. You can find the latest driver by going to ni.com/support click on Drivers and Updates and then do a search for 435x. I have also linked the search result here.
