NI 6215 - Providing Current though Analog Out

Does your sensor draw an average of 1.9 mA but have peaks of > 2.5 mA for short periods? Your DMM will not show that. If you have an oscilloscope or other means of measuring sub-millisecond pulses of current, you might take a look.

Greetings everyone.

AMMA, what happens if you connect just AO1, is it the same behavior as AO0?

Since the sensor is working with both AO connected, is it unacceptable to use it that way? (Also, not using the resistors is not the best idea, because using to sources in parallel can become unstable and harmful for the hardware)

Also, Lyn's thoughts are very sensible, and may indeed be the cause of the issue.

Best Regards.
