NI 6221, analog output error

The NI 6221 board which is installed on my PC is used for providing a variable analog output between 0 and 5V.
This board has been tested few months ago and worked perfectly, both with the "Measurement & Automation" test panel and Labwindows.

Last week the output was no more controllable.
The output is set to approximately 14V when I swich on the computer. I tried changing the motherboard slot and installing the board on another computer, but none of these things worked.

Is replacing the board the only solution to my problem?
Can anyone help me?

Thanks.

Does sound like the AO channel has gone bad

Are both channels generating such values??

Did you perform a self test for the device on MAX??

Hi UniZenith,

the problem maybe due to the cable or to the terminal block.

In fact if in MAX (Measurement & Automation Explorer) the Board seems to react it should be right.

Another thing you can do is to check that there is no a set custom scale in MAX; to do that create a new task and be sure that into the label "custom scale" appears "<No Scale>"

Have a nice day

I have solved the problem.

Well, actually I did nothing: I was checking the outbuts directly on the back of the PCI board and found they were correct; later on I checked again the terminal block an also there everything was working correctly.

I think it should be a cable problem, since the device self test didn't detect any problem.

I hope the problem won't happen again.

By the way, I would like to thank all those who sent a reply to my previous message.

Bye
