NI-9860 - LIN connection with different voltages - DUT tests

Is it possible to operate the NI 9860 at different voltages?
What should the setup look like?
In my test, the voltage (10.8V) at the test sample is decreased (0V) and increased (10.8V).
Now I would like to know when my test sample stops communicating.
To do this, I control the test sample with the variable voltage.
I connect my test sample via LIN (PIN 7) and GND (PIN 3) [D-SUP]. I supply the NI 9860 with a constant 12 V via the NI-XNET interface. But it does not seem to work.

Is this setup correct?
