Hi Milos-
NI does not currently offer a DAQ driver that supports Windows XP x64. We are always evaluating new operating systems for future support and would appreciate your feedback in the form of a product suggestion. Out of curiousity, is there a particular reason that you require a 64-bit O/S at this time?
Thanks-

Hi everybody.
I have the same needs than Milos.
I need the nidaq32.dll support for developing my applications.
The only reason I have to use Windows XP x64 is that I own a pc running this OS and I intend to use it to develop my applications. Naturally the final distributed application will run on a 32 bit operating system, I need only to debug my app, maybe also without installing hardware on the PC. It is obvious that, as a hardware manufacturer, I have to guarantee support and software upgrades to my customers, don't you think so?
So it will be VERY appreciated if NI will release a version of NI-Daq for this purposes, or maybe also an escamotage to round about the installation program errors that occurs when someone tries to install this software on an x64 system.
Tahnks.

According to this [broken link removed; article no longer available], NI has no plans to support x64 at all. And, according to this, NI list only the current DAQ driver DAQmx for Vista support and not the older traditional DAQ.

Hi,
I’m sorry that we aren’t supporting 64-bit Windows XP. Like Tom recommended, filing a product suggestion is one of the best ways for our R&D department to see the need to develop new driver versions. However, it is a very large task to provide support for such a large number of available operating systems, and there has been a relatively small demand for 64-bit XP.

Hi Erman-
I would like to also suggest that you develop using a 32-bit driver (for example, Traditional NI-DAQ for Windows XP 32-bit) if you plan to deploy to 32-bit user systems. From a development and testing standpoint you should use the same platform as your customers. In addition, any NI-DAQ functions compiled into your code will need to match the target system architecture. In your case it seems that developing using a 32-bit driver would be a better bet.
