NI-DAQmx simulated device in Windows XP

I am getting the followig error when trying to open NI-DAQmx simulated device. I am using Windows XP as the operation system:

The nidmfuiu.mxx plug-in caused an exception in the CCreateWizardWrapper::FinalizeCreateNew2 function in the NIMax process.
See this file for details: D:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\National Instruments\MAX\Logs\20110918_151546-NIMax 00000FE0.log

Any idea what to do? Is it possible to use simulated device in Win XP?

You should have no problem simulating a device in Windows XP.  MAX errors take a few extra steps to process, thank you for including the error report.  In the mean time, I would recommend updating to the latest MAX (v5.0) and DAQmx Drivers (v9.4) and repost if this fixes the issue.
