NI PCI-6703 with cb-68lp troubles

Hey,
I am using a computer with a NI PCI-6220 and a NI PCI-6703. Both are connected to CB-68LP connector boards. I am using Labview 8.0.  I used the Measurement and Automation Explorer to configure the two devices. For the 6220 it was really easy: I used the properties tab to choose CB-68LP as an accessory and created tasks. With the DAQ assistant I looked at the connection diagram and set up everything easily.
Now for the 6703 it's just not working. I can't choose an accessory. And some of the files, the guy how worked on it before wrote, wouldn't work anymore (AO update channel.vi not found) I tried the "traditional NI-DAQ" - there I can choose accessories, but I can't create tasks and I doubt it agrees with Labview 8.0.
Is there something wrong with the computer configuration and should I be able to choose accessories for the PCI-6703 and get a connection diagramm? Or do I really have to follow each pin and find out manualy where the channels go? And is there a way to find out if the device is working to its full potential?

Thanks a lot in advance, I really appreciate any help I can get on this.

Hi Tom Arrow,

Currently, the Connection Diagram only supports analog input. This information can be found in the DAQ Assistant Help under Getting Started » Generating Diagrams and Reports » Connection Diagrams. However, you should be able to configure the 6703 with the CB-68LP as the accessory in MAX. When you go to the properties of the 6703, what options are available? Also, if you’ve tried using the Traditional DAQ driver with the 6703, go back under NI-DAQmx Devices to the PCI-6703 and right click and select Reset Device.

Please post back if you have any questions. Have a great day!

Hi,
thanks for the reply. In the properties for the 6703 there are tabs for accesory and voltage power-up. When I try to select an accessory from the drop down menu, there is only "None".
The only thing I can do right now is by clicking the right mouse button, choosing the device pinouts. But how do I figure out which pinouts refer to which channel?
Thanks

Hi Tom,

You can view the device pinout (with channel labels) in MAX, by right clicking on your 6703 under Devices and Interfaces and selecting Device Pinouts. Can you access the test panel for your 6703?
