NI USB-6009

I'm having trouble collecting data from my NI USB 6009 using the Data Acquisition Toolbox in Matlab. I'm running Windows 7 (32-bit). I've ensured that my NIDAQmx driver is current. I'm able to collect a signal using LabView Signal Express; however, when attempting to connect to the DAQ in Matlab, I receive an error message. All of the info I've found on the version of Matlab and the Data Acquisition Toolbox that I'm running suggests that I should be able to communicate correctly with the DAQ. Thanks in advance.

Hi Langara,

What error message are you receiving?  Is the main issue is identifying the DAQ with the toolbox or does it have to do with working within the toolbox?  Most of the Data Acquisition Toolbox troubleshooting resources are going to be through the MATLAB® website.

Hi Kyle,

The error message is, "Error using ==> analoginput.analoginput>localCreateAnalogInputObject at 191.  Failure to find requested data acquisition device: nidaqmx."

The main issue is identifying the DAQ with the toolbox. This is one of the first steps required before any data can be collected. I've spent a bit of time looking for a solution on the Mathworks site and haven't found anything yet, but I'll keep looking. Cheers,
