Hello,
My NI USB6211 card fails the self test and report a -88705 error. I already checked if the NI Device Loader service is running (it is), and adjusted the recovery tab. Also, I reinstalled the NI software and drivers for the card. The onboard LED keeps lit all the time.
Windows Device Manager reports the device is working.
Any other idea?
OS: Windows XP SP3
NIDAQmx version: 9.6
MAX version: 5.3.1.f0
Kind regards.

Update: I installed the software in another Windows XP machine, with no previos NI installations. Same error. I am leaning towards a hardware problem. Can anyone confirm this?

Hi Sandthief.
I don´t think it will be a Software issue but you could try checking the NI Configuration Manager Service, and the NI mDNS services are running correctly as well.
Other than that it sounds like a Hardware Error. Could you try generating a simulated DAQ device from MAX to make sure there are no problems with any of the DAQmx installations?
Regards.

Checked both services, they are up and running. Also created a virtual USB-6211, no problems with that. We plugged in another USB-6211 we had, and that one works with no issues.
Thanks.

It is definitely a Hardware Issue then. You can contact your local NI Branch if you want to send it in for repair (01 800 010 0793 for Mexico). You can also email us from ni.com/support.
