Hello,
I would like to measure a 5V tension from a 220V/5V transformer. This signal is transmitted with a BNC/banana wire. The banana side of the wire is connected to the +5V and the 0V, the BNC side is connected to a BNC 2090 module. The DAQ is a NI PCI 6221 connected to a BNC 2090 module configured in NRSE. I would like to configure the system in differential mode. Once I configured the BNC 2090 in differential, what should I do? Are there hardware modifications or I just have to plug the BNC connector to the BNC 2090? I understood that two channels are used in the differential mode, should I plug the +5V to a channel and the 0V to an other channel?
Thanks

Hello quentin,
To measure in Diff Mode you just have to configure the jumpers on the BNC 2090 in Diff Mode, and specify it in software to. After that you just have to plug your BNC normaly as usual, signals are routed for you into the BNC 2090.
Note : in Diff Mode the measure is taken between AIx and AIx+8. Ex: AI0 and AI8
Have a nice day
