Hi
I am using DAQ PCI 6225, SCC 68 and SCC-SG04 module to aquire data from full bridge strain gauge (350ohm). In the maual for SCC-SG0X it talks about nulling the voltage offset of the system including bridge configuration and using shunt calibration to correct for gain error. Do I need to perform those tasks?

Hi suni,
To perform measurements that are within the accuracy specifications of the module, you will need to perform offset nulling and shunt calibration. It is highly recommended that these calibrations are performed on a regular basis. If they are not performed, the measurements may be off by an unknown amount since there may be offset and gain error. For more information about signal conditioning and calibration for strain gauges, check out this article. The calibration procedures can be found in the manual that you were referring to before.
