Hello,
I plan to use the NI USB-6212 module to control an actuator with analog output 0-10V. I already had a LabVIEW program ready to test it, using a DAQmx Analog Write function. When this didn't work (no response from actuator), I wasn't sure if it was a problem with the code, so I followed the NI guide here: http://www.ni.com/gettingstarted/setuphardware/dataacquisition/analogoutput.htm and using the Measurement & Automation Explorer I generated voltage signals, but there was still no response in the actuator.
So at this point I was pretty sure I did not wire it correctly. I will attach a (crude) wiring diagram showing how I currently have it wired. The actuator requires an external power source of 24 VDC and at least 25 Watts. The power supply I am using supplies 24VDC at ~1.6 Amps so it should be sufficient. I tested the power supply separately and it is functioning normally. I also tested an identical actuator of the same type and got the same result, so I believe the actuators are all working (assuming they aren't ALL broken--which they are fairly new so shouldn't be).
I also looked at the connection diagram for the USB device, but it seems a little different from my actual setup.
If anyone could offer correction to my setup, I would greatly appreciate it.

Apparently it was wired correctly, actually. I successfully tested it in the Measurement & Automation Explorer. However, it is not working with my LabVIEW code. I'll make a post in the software forums if needed.
