I have installed the NIDAQ850.exe file and the DeviceDocs850.exe, which should support my PCI-6014 card
Did you run this exe file????
I hope you are using Windows 2000 or Higher OS
If you are using any other OS, refer to this page for information on supported Device drivers
Follow this order
First install LabVIEW and NI DAQmx device Drivers ( This device also supports Legacy traditional DAQ device drivers)
Then switch off your system, Insert the DAQ card in an available PCI slot
Power ON the system and MAX shall detect your DAQ card and it should show up in Devices and Interfaces folder
Hope this helps
Regards
Dev

What help file did you read that says to install a PCI-6014 driver in the instr.lib folder? There is no specific 6015 driver and the DAQmx driver will not install itself in instr.lib. If you have correctly installed DAQmx, you will have numerous DAQmx examples and the DAQ Assistant to use. Instrument drivers are used for GPIB/VXI/Serial/etc., types of instruments. You should go to https://www.ni.com/en/support/documentation/supplemental/06/getting-started-with-ni-daqmx--main-page... and learn a little about DAQ boards and DAQmx.

If there is no specific driver for the PCI-6014 / 6015, then what driver do you specificy if you want to create a device object?

As the product page states, you use the DAQmx driver.
