PCI 6220 self test error

Dear All,

I am using PCI 6220 for one of my application. But my programme exe is not working with it.

When i am clicking on self test in MAX ,it will return following error:

the device self test has failed. the error report from device driver is as follows:

Error -50400 occured at self test.

Possible Reason: the transfer did not complete within the timeout period or within specified no. of retries.

I have installed DAQ mx 8.5 drivers again after uninstalling previous driver & i have changed pci slots also. but still it is showing the same error. the same error has also been shown when i am pressing device reset button in max.

I have also seen the same card is working in another machine. So my card is not faulty.

Kindly suggest me if any other solution i can try.

Thanks & regards,

Vipin Ahuja

Dear vipin_ahuja,

a MAX database corruption can be a possible cause of this problem. Please follow the steps described in this document to correct it.

Dear Daniel,

Thanks for your reply.

I have formatted the c drive of my pc & again installed max 8.5. If it is a max database corruption problem then this should be rectified.

is it possible that my max 8.5 drivers may corrupt from which i am installing them? or still i have to do the same procedure which you have sent to me.

Is it possible that my system pci slots does not get power from motherbord? How can i check them?

Regards,

Vipin
