PCI6034e visible in Win device manager, not in labview

Hi folks,

I'm working on setting up labview 8.5, win7 x64, and my PCI 6034e daq card. This configuration was working previously, however after a reinstall of windows I cannot get the daq workin in labview.

The steps after my format and general windows setup...

1. install labview 8.5 (includes daqmx 8.6).

2. reboot

test: windows device manager sees the 6034e properly, labview doesn't see daq (i.e. loaded daq assistant, went to measure analog, no devices found)

3. install daq mx base 3.4, reboot

test: no change

4. install daq mx 8.6 from separate download, reboot

test: no change

I know the daq mx software is loaded properly, because I wouldn't have access to the daq assistant vi without it. So what might be causing the 6034e to show up in windows properly, but not recognized by labview?

figured it out.. installed daqmx 9.3 and it all works. Where in the online literature did I miss the information about my PCI card not work (not support?) with the earlier version. The PCI card is surely older than daqmx 8.6, and I'd have expected it to work with that version...
