PCIe 6361 not detected by MAE

I have a computer running Windows XP, LabView 2009 and Measurement and Automation Explorer 5.1. The system has a PCIe 6361 DAQ card installed that shows up fine in teh windows hardware manager, but will not show up in MAE. Any suggestions?

Do you have DAQmx installed? In MAX (Measurement and Automation Explorer) you can go under "My System" and expand "Software" to see if you have "NI-DAQmx Device Driver" installed.  If you do, let us know which version.  It should at least be >9.0.0

You need for this card the DAQmx driver 9.0 and above. DAQmx 9.0 was the first driver, which supports this card. The latest driver is DAQmx 9.5, which you can download at this page:

NI-DAQmx 9.5 - Windows 7 32-bit/Vista 32-bit/7 64-bit/XP 32-bit/Server 2003 R2 32-bit/Vista 64-bit/Server 2008 R2 64-bit - National Instruments

After you installed this driver, the card sould be shown in the Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX).

Well, in this case it is maybee another problem. The Measurment and Automation Explorer needs a service which is called "NI Device Loader". Please check, if this service is running. You can see the service in this picture:
