PCMCIA DAQCard 60632E Connection to Express PC Port

Hi,

I have a DAQCard-6036E that would go into a PCMCIA slot of my laptop. has I have replaced my laptop, it no longer has the port for this card, but it does have a express-PC 54 pin port.

is there any adaptor or other means of using this port for my DAQ card

Hi Phil,

National Instruments don't sell a device like this but I did find a few after doing a google search:

I did verify that DAQCard-6036E wirks with the DuelAdapter.
I am using NIDAQ 7.2.0f1 and DuelAdapter Version 1.0.0 software.  I had to upgrade from NIDAQ 6.9 to 7.2 In order to resolve the "card is not responding to first IRQ" issue.

SETUP:
DELL Inspiron 1720 (windows XP)
DuelAdapter (driver ver 1.0.0)
DAQCard 6036E
NIDAQ 7.2.0f1
Tested with LabView 6.1

Thanks for this information, although my situation is a little worst has I am using Vista and a Dell Vostro, I have connected a dual adaptor to my computer but it tells me the adaptor will not function due to having no resources left, sounds like vista is using up all available resources.

have anyone else seen this problem and if so have they managed away of working around it.

It might be your PC rather than Vista itself, if you look at Sewells forums the duel systems adaptor seems to have issues with some Dells. Mind you..... this is Vista we are talking about so it probably is just being it's usual uselss self!
