Dear all
We require a digitization/Processing system to simultaneously sample 100 sensors data (receiving 460 KHz signal) with sampling rate greater than 1.2 M samples/s/channel and then process it in real time. Until now, following NI solution has been selected:
As far as digitization is concerned, we are quite confident that this solution will work however; real time processing is the point where we have stuck. By real time we mean that if we acquire say 60ms data (of 100 sensors), we need to process it with in 60ms i.e. before getting next 60ms data without any missing. Our signal processing includes quadrature demodulation, frequency domain beam forming and frequency domain match filter etc.
For that purpose we have selected NI best available controller i.e. PXIe 8135 but we are not sure whether it can full fill our real time processing requirement or not?
Can NI kindly give some suggestion like proof of concept or some thing like that?
We have a very good experience of NI DAQ cards however; we will use NI controllers first time and so require some performance insurance.
Thanks
Best Regards

Hi Asim,
The PXI-8135 has a Windows OS on it but in order to ensure data points are not missed it would be better to configure it to run on a Real-Time OS. More information on benchmarking PXI performance can be found here.
