Percent overlap for STFT Spectrogram

Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section. I need to set the percent overlap between bins for the fft that's operating within the STFT spectrogram VI. I see the option for configuring the Frequency bin size and the Time Steps, but how do I actually set the amount of overlap between the Bins? Is it possible? Thanks.

Hi d1sturbanc3,

The STFT Spectrogram VI does not have inputs to set the amount of overlap of the bins. You can copy the VI and edit the block diagram to get your desired use. You may want to post to the LabVIEW board to see if anyone has done this before.

Thanks, but I didn't see the VI allowed time step. The time step and frequency bin allows the control of the % overlap. It works nicely.

I have great interest in STFT with overlap. I wish to use the STFT to perform the FFT analysis of segments with 512 points, overlapped by 50 %. Could you help me with this?
