Did you mean:

Physcial Channel specified does not exist in device

I'm hving an NI ELVIS connected to a PCI 6013.

When I'm trying some functionality like continuity testing and few other operations in the NI Console, I'm getting this error

Possible reason(s):

Physical channel specified does not exist on this device.

Refer to the documentation for channels available on this device.

Device: Dev1
Physical Channel Name: ao0

Task Name: _unnamedTask<78>

I think I used to have this functionality earlier on in this device. Do correct me if i'm wrong.

Does MIO-16 have this functionality ??

Rakesh

No, the PCI 6013 does not have any analog outputs. There are a couple of different MIO16 models. I think they all have analog outputs but you can search for yourself by clicking the Products & Services link at the top of the page and entering the full model number into the search box.

p.s. You could have done the search for the PCI 6013 yourself as well.

Hello Rakesh,

Dennis is correct, the PCI 6013 does not have any analog output channels and that is what is causing the error.  We can tell this since the error stated the physical channel name as ao0, which is Analog Output channel 0.  Since this channel does not exist on the 6013, there is an error. If you search the website for your device number, the product page should tell you if the device has analog outputs, for example the AT-MIO-64E-3 has 2 analog outputs. Hopefully this clears things up.
