Problem with NI-Elvis and chord {Error -88302 occurred at DAQmx Create Channel }

We are using NI Elvis board with s/w version 2.0

on trying to read from the computer we are experiencing the following error.

"Error -88302 occurred at DAQmx Create Channel (DI-Digital Input).vi"
