Question about Pci and Pcie cards

We currently use a PCI 6713 and PCI 6733, but are upgrading and need another few AO.  If I get a PCie 6733 (only have a pcie slot available), will that work just as well in terms of timings and speed/latency or should I get the PCI and then a pcie to pci adapter?

What exactly is your concern? PCIe is in general a faster bus, so I don't see any potential issues.
