I'm writing a vi that reads various frequencies. I'm reading from a USB-6229 board which says it has hardware timed digital I/O. I've used both of my counter inputs, and I need to take more RPM readings. I'm trying to figure out how to use my Digital Input lines to read frequency/RPM. I found an example (attachment) that works for me using an analog input, but I need it to use the digital input, all my analog inputs are tied up. I've tried modifying it to fit, but can't seem to figure it out. Can anyone help?
I can get it to work at high frequencies (attachment #2) but it won't read at lower frequencies due to not enough samples to determine a frequency. If I try to increase the samples, I get an onboard device memory overflow error, # -200010. How can I collect more samples? Or maybe I'm just going about this completely wrong?
Thanks for any help...
