Read a serial data with PCI 6024E

Hello,

I need to read a 2MHz serial data from a AD converter. I was trying to read this serial data using a digital input channel, but I need to synchronize the frequency of maltab read and the serial data frequency. How can I do this?

Thanks!

If your Digital Input has hardware timing and can use an external clock, then use the conversion clock from the A/D converter to clock the DI lines.  Note that A/D converters may have several timing signals.  Read the data sheets and find the right one.

I am not familiar with the PCI 6024 and you have not specified the A/D converter.  I would need to take the time to study up on both to answer in a meaningful way. I do not have the time now to do so, and you could probabbly do it about as fast.

A quick look at the specs and you would see that the digital I/O is software timed and you won't be able to sync to that high a speed. You'll need a better card.
