Receiving Analog Trigger to Start Data Collection

Hi everyone, I'm hoping you can give me a hand with this problem.  I'm trying to sync LabVIEW data collection from a force plate with a sync output pulse from a camera.  I'd like to have the camera pulse enter an Analog Input channel, interpret this to a digital pulse, and start writing data out to a document using LabVIEW.

I've been working off this document, but I do not understand how the AI Voltage and AO Voltage work or interface in any meaningful way.  A picture is worth a thousand words, and this white page doesn't have one.  Does anyone have an example of this code in action?
