Hi,
We have connected an SCB-68 to connector 1 of PCI-6229 card - connector 0 already in use on SCXI -1000 system. We can not see how to access the SCB-68. We have tried using Measurement & Automation Explorer to set it up, but when we open DAQ assistant in Labview 8 we cannot see the SCB-68 connections. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Capt,
Thanks for the post and I hope your well.
The SCB-68 is just a connector block, it allows you to have access to all the pins of the 6229. In MAX and LabVIEW you will only see lines/ports/ai's etc.
So in MAX, if your right click the PCI 6229 under DAQmx devices >> Properties, under accessory you can select SCB 68, and Power-up States. In the DAQ assistant you then n just go to either acquire/generate signals, and select the 6229, you will have options for ports or lines etc.
If your trying to find information regarding which pin on the SCB it related to which port/line/clock etc then if you right-click the device in MAX and select Device Pinouts it tells you the the pin numbers for exampleAI0=pin 68 on connector 0. It also contains a sumamry table regardung counter terminals.
I hope this helps,

Hi James,
Thanks for the immediate reply. We have done as you suggest however on the power up states panel there is an error indicator and the reason is stated as:
'Error 50103 occured at DAQMXCFG-DAQMX 'GET POWER UP' States (Digital) Remote .VI
The Specified Source is reserved. The operation could not be completed as specified'.
Further assistance would be very much appreciated

Hi Capt,
The error you are receiving is that you are trying to access channels/tasks that are already being used by another application. The following forum post should help with your query, and gives some really useful links to knowledgebase articles on the specific error code.
