SCXI 1000 Cannot Configure in MAX

Hello,

I am trying to configure my SCXI 1000 through MAX without success.

I open MAX (V5) -> Select Devices and Interfaces -> Click on Create New-> Select the SCXI-1000 from  the list

I set the Communication SCXI Module Slot to 1 and my Chassis Address I leave at zero.

After I click save I get this the error  "Chassis communicator not picked"  "PLease pick the communicating DAQ device"

ANy ideas???

I also have  DAQmx 9.3 as well

Hi smoothdurban,

You have to also specify what card in computer you are actually using to communicate with the SCXI chassis. In the SCXI Chassis Configuration window, move to the Chassis tab and select the hardware connected to your computer that you are using to communicate with the chassis under Chassis Communicator.This hardware will be where you actually connect the cable between the computer and the chassis.

Here and here are a couple good manuals overviewing setting up an SCXI system.
