Hello all
i want to use four PCI-6143 DAQ cards to sample 32 analog channels simultaneously. Kindly tell me what accessories i needed to select? How i can synchronize four PCI 6143 cards? Do i need some additional hardware to operate four PCI 6143 synchronously?
Best Regards

Hello ASIM,
When you place all of the PCI-6143's in the same computer, you'll need a RTSI cable to share signals between the interfaces. This is the only added hardware I foresee you needing. Please look at the following discussion forum if you would like to know more about how to perform this synchronization.
NI Discussion Forums: how do i synchronize multiple S-series devices?
Using tasks to synchronize your acquistions is also explained in this KnowledgeBase.
KnowledgeBase 3U0G7O9N: Synchronizing DSA or S Series Devices With a Single NI-DAQmx Task
There are also shipped examples on your computer if you already have LabVIEW and NI-DAQmx installed. For one of the examples just open LabVIEW, Help»Find Examples... Navigate to Hardware Input and Output»DAQmx»Synchronization»Multi-Device Synch-Analog Input-Cont Acquisition.vi. This example shows you how to share the master timebase in another manner.
I have an excellent resource that gives your a great overview of timing and synchronization if you would like to learn more.
NI Developer Zone: Timing and Synchronization Features of NI-DAQmx
I hope this helps ASIM.
Cheers!
