Sampling Speed Difference between Differential and Single Ended AI

Can an NI multifunctional device capable of sampling 200kS/s sample a differential input at 200kS/s?

I wonder because differential inputs are wired to two channels and I'm not sure what that means when it comes to sampling speeds.  Does that mean that you can only sample at 100kS/s on a differential input because it has to sample both channels to get a value difference.

Hi,

The maximum sampling rate will not differ between single ended or differential measurements.  This knowledgebase explains why this is the case.  The maximum sampling rate will change when there are multiple differential or single ended channels that are being measured.
