Hi,
My USB DaqPad 6016 is not detected on the Server 2003 deployment machine.
The error in windows device manager is "windows could not load the installer for DAQdevice".
Uninstalling, cleanup and reinstalling does not fix the issue.
I have the following setup: DaqPad 6016, NI-MAX 4.5, DAQmx 8.8, LabVIEW 8.6.1
I have developed my application on a laptop running XP SP3 and creating a deployment (LV RT 8.6.1 only).
I then deployed the application to a Server 2003 and ran the driver installation DVD (2009 Q1) selecting DAQmx 8.8.
I see there is a post that reverting to DAQmx 8.0.1 might work, does anyone have a better solution / sugestion?
Thanks,
Chris

Not sure where you found that post. A link to it would have been nice.
Server 2003 is not a supported OS for either LabVIEW or DAQmx.

Hi,
The link is Server 2003 and DAQmx 8.0.1
Unfortunatly this appears to be a bit of a dodgy solution. I would much prefer something a bit more 'supported'.
I have run all my signals using CAT6 UTP to the network patch panel next to the server.
Since I discovered the issue I have tried controlling the USB DAQPad 6016 using:
1. A 'Network USB server'.
Potentially a very flexible solution but I found it does not work slower than 103Hz / 10 Channels in continuous sampling mode (Presumably the NI equipment changes to USB streaming at this rate).
2. A USB 1.1 extender via CAT5.
This should have worked fine but I found the device kept dissappearing leaving MAX hanging anywhere from 2 - 20 mins after starting.
3. Sitting my development laptop by the server / patch panel.
So far only (3) has performed solidly for any length of time. It makes it a bit hard to write code as the server / patch panel are in a small cupboard.
