Did you mean:

Simultaneous (Multiple Channel) Data Logging with M-Series (NI 6221)

Chris,
Yes, you are correct.  And sampling all 16 channels every 100 usec would certainly be possible.  That would be a sample rate of 10kS/sec.  With 16 channels, the total throughput would be 160kS/sec, which is well below the 250kS/sec max of the NI 6221.  The max scan rate you could get would be about 15.6kS/sec (250kS/sec divided by 16 channels).  This would give you about 64 usec between subsequent scans of the same channel.  Hope this clears things up!

Check out a whitepaper on simultaneous sampling architectures.

Notable product lines that offer simultaneous sampling are S Series, Dynamic Signal Acquisition, and high-speed digitizers.

Alan,

thank you very much. I really appreciate your help. That clears up a lot.

Brent,

Thanks for the link. I actually have found that paper before. S-Series is apparently too costly for the application, although it seems it would be exactly what we need.

Regards,
Christoph
