Currently I am working on locking of the F-P cavity, using single stack ring piezo. I want to use NI DAQ USB-6421 to acquire photodiode signal (Transmission spectra of cavity) through analog input and want to generate ramp voltage (for piezo, to scan the cavity) from analog output. I also want to give external trigger to DAQ, synchronize with 10 Hz pulsed laser.
Q1. Does NI DAQ USB-6421 suitable for this work?
Q2. As I want to simultaneously record photodiode signal and generating ramp, will there be any time lagging issue? because my laser is operating on 10 Hz so each 100 ms there is laser pulse is coming. and I want to record the spectra, find the maxima through voltage ramp and then hold that corresponding voltage to spectra maxima in LabVIEW untill my laser pulse coming. so entire thing I want to do within 100 ms. can I use NI DAQ USB-6421 for this work?
