The device is not responding to the selected base address

I have an old DAQ card Lab Pc-1200. Sometimes, when I am testing out the card using the test panel, the following message will appear "The device is not responding to the selected base address. Will you like to continue anyway". Max does not seem to acknowledge the address of the card though it is installed in it. One of the methods I have used to solve this problem is by rebooting the PC several times. After applying the method, the card is working fine.

However, this is getting to be a bit of hassle after several times of failure. Is this a software problem wif MAX? Would appreciate any solution to get rid of this problem

The PC is installed with under Max 2.2 I am currently running windows 98

What version of NI-DAQ are you using?

I would make sure you are using NI-DAQ 6.9.3. You can check your version of NI-DAQ within the software folder of MAX. If you aren't using NI-DAQ 6.9.3, I would uninstall the version of NI-DAQ you have installed and download and install (without the hardware in the computer) NI-DAQ 6.9.3 from the link below.

Thanks for your reply.

My NI-DAQ version is 6.9.3. Maybe I would try what you have suggested by uninstalling and installing the DAQ again. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the card but it does not seem to work
